Με μια προσεκτική ματιά στις πληροφορίες του email που μου στάλθηκε απο "εμένα" παρατήρησα ότι το όνομα που εμφανίζεται στο email μου είναι το ίδιο με την διεύθυνση του email μου ενώ στην πραγματικότητα έχω άλλο άνομα.
Η διεύθυνση ip που μου έστειλε το email βρίσκεται στην "Αυστρία".
Ακόμα το X-SID-Result που είναι μέρος ενός συστήματος ελέγχου ταυτότητας και φιλτραρίσματος που χρησιμοποιείται για να καθορίσει εάν ένα email είναι αυθεντικό και αν πρέπει να παραδοθεί στον παραλήπτη δίνει FAIL
Με μία αναζήτηση στο διαδίκτυο κατάλαβα πως η μέθοδος αυτή αφορά Email Spoofing.
Τι είναι το Email Spoofing;
Email spoofing είναι μια επικίνδυνη τεχνική που χρησιμοποιούν οι κυβερνοεγκληματίες για να μιμηθούν την ταυτότητα ενός αποστολέα. Με απλά λόγια, πλαστογραφούν τη διεύθυνση email του αποστολέα, ώστε το μήνυμα να φαίνεται ότι προέρχεται από κάποιον που εμπιστεύεσαι.
Πώς να προστατευτείς:
Να είσαι επιφυλακτικός: Μην εμπιστεύεσαι τυφλά τα email, ακόμη κι αν φαίνονται να προέρχονται από κάποιον που γνωρίζεις.
